Stay Sharp: Your Phishing and Smishing Survival Kit Body

Cybercriminals are getting smarter  but so can you. The National Computer Incident Response Team of The Bahamas (CIRT‑BS) has launched the Phishing and Smishing Survival Kit to help you spot fake messages before they trap you.

Verify the URL: Official Bahamas government websites always end with .bs or .com.
Spot the fakes: Beware of look‑alike domains such as .bs.com or .lbs — they’re designed to trick you.
How they trap you: Scammers send urgent messages asking you to “update info” or “make a payment.” Even if you don’t pay, entering your details gives them what they want.
Direct targeting: Once they have your data, they use it for more personalized scams.

Protect yourself and your community. Always double‑check URLs before clicking, and report suspicious messages to https://www.cirt.bs/report

Together, we can make The Bahamas more cyber‑resilient.
